Jose Salcedo PhD serves as CEO of Multiwave Photonics in Porto, Portugal. Dr. Salcedo established the company after 15 years of focused R&D efforts in optoelectronics, lasers, and fiber optics at the University of Porto, where he was professor of electrical engineering and previously associate professor of physics, and INESC Porto, which he co-founded in 1984 and where he also co-founded an optoelectronics center in 1990. Prior to this, Dr. Salcedo carried out professional activities in the U.S. for about 10 years, where he obtained MSc and PhD degrees at Stanford University in California.
