To promote quality activities and recognize them thorugh their results the OPTOEL'11 AWARDS have been established. The following (not excluding other categories) will be awarded:

a. OPTOEL'11 AWARD to the best paper.

b. OPTOEL'11 AWARD to the best PhD student papers.

c. OPTOEL'11 AWARD to the career.

The awards will be assigned taking into account the marks obtained by the contributions during the peer-review process from at least two researchers of the Scientific Committee.

Both awards will include a gift and a certificate. Those included in section b) will also be awarded with a subscription to SPIE (sponsoring institution of the awards) and, the one with the highest marks, also with a cash prize.

Only if the first author explicitly indicates the opposite, all the contributions will be considered to participate in the OPTOEL'11 AWARDS.

If the first author is a student (and this will be also applicable to all the students registered for OPTOEL'11), he/she will have to claim that condition by means of an official document that will be sent to the organization. ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
